Egg-citing Activities

Here are some pictures of the egg hunt the students had this morning.  Students also made egg baskets out of plastic milk jugs.  They had so much fun searching for eggs!!

 

Here's a little art activity we did this week.

 

My class had an "Egg Drop Experiment" today at school.  Each child worked on their egg project at home using materials and supplies that would keep their egg safe and sound.  The goal was for every child's project to keep their egg from cracking.  Here are just a few of the participants in the "Egg Drop Experiment".

Celebrating Texas Week

Here's a picture of my wanted signs I posted in the hallway.  These were made to celebrate Texas.  The students are learning about the state symbols and facts about our great state.

Read Across America Week

Here is a picture of my classroom door.  We are having a door decorating contest for Read Across America Week.  I chose to do "The Cat in the Hat" because it's a great Dr. Seuss book.

Valentine's Day art

Here is some Valentine's Day art that my students worked on today.  They really had fun with this, but it was difficult to get the accordian legs folded just right.  Got to love Kindergarten!!

Happy 100th Day of School!!

My class had so much fun celebrating the 100th day of school.  We worked on several different projects during the week and celebrated the 100th day with a number parade around the school.  Everyone cheered us on and helped to reinforce the numbers we've been learning about the entire year.  Here's a picture of one of the activities we did to learn about numbers.  This activity came from Julie Lee's 100th Day of School Unit from TpT.
